I have a WLC 4404 running 4.1.192.22M(Mesh). I have 20 1522's currently and all seems to be working great until I try to connect a client through a bridge device. The end device cannot obtain an IP address via DHCP, the request goes out, but the response is never received.
The bridge device is functioning correctly because if I assign a static IP to the client in the correct subnet it passes traffic no problem.
I've looked at the workgroup bridge functionality but that looks like it only works when using a cisco device on the 'client' end. In my application (WISP) I don't want or need Cisco AP's at every client location.
It doesn't make sense to me why a 3rd party bridge will work fore seemingly all traffic accept DHCP assignments. Any help would be appreciated.
I have read many posts on these forums that discuss this same subject but none seem to have definitive answers.
