DNA Center - Display wireless interferers

I have a question regarding DNA Center (version 2.2.3.5) and displaying wireless interferers. In an AP Device 360 view in DNAC, I can see the AP's Interference chart, while on the WLC (Cat 9800) I can see the CleanAir info like MW Over, BT Discovery etc.

Does anyone know if it is possible to display more detail on the interferers within DNAC like we have in the WLC? Our goal is to have the support team do as much wireless troubleshooting as possible from the DNAC Assurance module.

This is for example an AP where interferers where seen from the WLC, and the only thing I could find in DNAC is the chart below. The second picture displays the WLC Interferers screen.

We have asked this question way back in 2020 and the answer is "no".

There is no need to send "Feedback" or "Make-A-Wish" -- The developers and BU are not interested.

However, if someone happens to be one of Cisco's biggest customer (aka, "a whale"), then it could be possible to get this feature in through the accounts team.

Even if someone is able to convince the BU to develop this, it will probably take a good >5 years for this feature to surface.  And then another 2 years of "open beta testing".  By that time DNAC would probably be EoS milestone.

(Read between the lines.)

We found it was a lot easier to get a 3700 (configured as SE) and Cisco Spectrum Expert.

Hi

I´d say you can see a bit more then the WLC. Take a look on this doc.

Hi Flavio,

Many thanks for the reply! We do use the Intelligent Capture sometimes for spectrum analysis and more in depth troubleshooting. In this particular case we are looking for a quick way to identify a possible issue by seeing the type of interferers seen by CleanAir. The overview of the interference type on the WLC helps us (in some cases, not always :-)) to point into a certain direction.

Because of the rich features of the Assurance module in DNAC we where hoping to see these interferers in DNAC too. Do you know if that information is available without the need to start a spectrum analysis and identify the interferer from the Spectrum Analysis charts?

As far as I know it doesn´t.

Maybe the closest you can get is using sensor.

That's clear, thank you!
