Hello everyone, some time ago it has been happening to me that several of the APs that we have in the company are presenting the same problem. The AP intermittently registers to the WLC9800 operating for only a few seconds and then loses registration again.
I have searched for information but I am unable to correct this problem.
Some of the actions carried out were:
AP Reboot
Upload address and from WLC.
Time and date validation.
I leave the debug of the ap and log
Thanks

- Do you have sufficient licenses (at all times) ? What is the model of these ap's ? Is it always with the same ap-model ? Some sanity check of the 9800 may include (CLI) : wireless config validate - more elaborate is show tech wireless (CLI) and have the output analyzed with : https://cway.cisco.com/tools/WirelessAnalyzer/

Like what @marce1000 asked, always provide the details of your equipment you are using when you create a thread. This really helps folks when replying back and reduces the back and fourth. The other thing is to add what you have done to troubleshoot the issue, what worked and what didn't work. As an example, if there are specific ap's that are problematic, you can swap a know good one for a bad one and see if the problem stays with the ap or maybe you have a cabling, switch issue if the swapped ap is not having issues.

As per the logs AP did not join because regulatory logs mismatch. Please post the exact AP part number and the country configured in the WLC. If you need you can change the country in WLC by below commands
ap country GB (Replace GB with your country code Cisco Content Hub - Appendix B - Supported Country Codes)
To check the AP regulatory domain
Wireless LAN Compliance Lookup (cisco.com)

What is the firmware of the WLC?
What model is this AP?
