A customer purchased an AnyConnect Smart License subscription LS-RV-ACS-25-1YR and it was not added to a contract by the distributor. The customer was able to generate the license and deploy it from the Smart Account. Will the customer be denied TAC support if the license is not on contract (entitlement)?

If you have a valid contract I understand that the support will not be denied but they will ask you to correct the license problem as soon as they realize the problem.

The distributor is stating it does not need to be on contract. This is not typical practice. Has this changed with Smart Licensing?
