Etherchannel stopped working

I am unable to get separate 350 bridges to do etherchannel since upgrading CatOS on 5509. Upgraded software on 5509 from 4.2 to 5.5.

5509 connected to 3512 running 12.0 IOS.

3512 config

Fa0/3 port group 1 distribution destination

Fa0/7 port group 1 distribution destination

Fa0/11 port group 1 distribution destination

5509 config

set port channel 7/17-20 1 (admin group)

set port channel 7/17-20 on

Once STP starts forwarding I get STP loop and the 5509 ports go errdisable.

Any ideas?

It was working before the upgrade.

Did you check the bug tool kit for any known bugs in 5.5 for etherchannel support??
