Greetings

Im in the process of arming a lab, and im just wondering if i can extend a Vlan from de WLC on the right, so the LAP in the left could register. The InterVlan is the Multiswitch in the right.

Ther is two routers in the middle, so L3 links.

My doubt is...i can set up a GRE tunnel between the Routers so the LAP and WLC could communicate with each other?

Hi,

You cannot extend the the VLANs between two networks using GRE method you specified but this is not a requirement for registering an Access Point to WLC. Acces spoint can register to WLC over WAN as long as IP-Reachability is there between locations. Access Points need to be configured in Remote Edge AP or Hybrid Remote Edge AP to make CAPWAP/LWAP Tunnels work over WAN.

Using this mode, traffic will be bridged locally without sending every thing over CAPWAP tunnels

Greeting my friend!

This feature is supported on Packet Tracer?

M.M.

I beleive it should work as i can see basic setup and provisioning of WLC is available in packet tracer access point in remote network should work fine also.
