Fast Secure Roaming client requirements

What requirements are there for Fast Secure Roaming on the client side? Does the client just need LEAP support? Does a thrid party card need v1,2 or 3 of Cisco certification?

I see version 2 has LEAP capabilities but version 3 has CCKM capabilities.

Also, if I have an SSID that is utilizing Fast Secure Roaming, can clients that don't support CCKM or LEAP connect to that SSID?

CCKM is the requirement for fast secured roaming. However, LEAP is the requiement for CCKM. Thus, you need both CCKM and LEAP support on the wireless clients.

You need CCXv3 compliant clients for fast secured roaming. Please be aware that CCXv1 or CCXv2 is not a requirement for CCXv3.

If you configure CCKM as optional, non-CCKM clients can associate to the APs.
