I am working an AP that just randomly stopped working - no indication.
it boots in vxworks to a menu that looks like:
c -- Copy file
f -- File dir
l -- downLoad file into DRAM
u -- Upload file
p -- xfer Protocol
n -- coNsole
r -- Run
s -- System info.
file dir menu was blank..but I followed instructions here and tried to upload the .img that allows an upgrade from vxworks to IOS (it was the only vxworks image I had handy). - from these instructions: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/wireless/ps441/products_tech_note09186a0080093c37.shtml
now, a file dir shows this:
Memory Bank total used left
DRAM 16742624 3918092 12824532
Config 524288 0 524288
FLASH 7602176 0 7602176

d) DRAM :IOS_Upgrade_Envs 1.0 003C4FA4 136 none 0x0C 0900
I tried to copy them to the flash, and then reboot per the instructions, but here's where I'm stuck.I get this message:

any assistance is appreciated. I'm sure this is going to end up being an RMA case, but I'd rather not have to...
