FlexConnect Local Switch vs Central Switching

Over the past few years I have deployed a couple of Cisco 7510 controllers.  All of them use Central switching.  None of my small offices have local resources (file/print servers, etc..) so i tunnel all traffic back through the wan via the central switch mode.   Is there a best practice with when it comes using local switching vs central switching?  Is there a pressing need for me to consider local switching in future designs?  Right now this design seems to work but I want to keep my options open and make sure I understand the pro's and con's of each.

FlexConnect design is mainly to address local switching requirement as customers do not want WAN link to utilize for data communication within a branch.

If you have switch infrastructure at branch to terminate local user traffic then, local switching is preferred.
