Force Clients to new SSID

Hi Guys,

We have around 75 Laptops, and we must migrate from SSID A with WEP to SSID B with WPA2/.1X.

I have enabled B since a week or so, to run in parallel with A, The Server Team reconfigured the AD Group Policy for all PCs so that their primary SSID is B.

But, only 25 Laptops moved to B.

When I disable A on the WLC, another 5 Laptops move to B. The rest stays disconnected.

Is there a way to force the Laptops to choose B, by configuring WLC or APs in some way ?

Thanks in advance.

The easy way is really to push this from the Microsoft domain with GPO's. Once the profile is in place the client will prefer it over manually configured wireless profiles. Check if the GPO is applied on the right OU level, maybe some notebooks are in a other OU and missing the GPO. You can check this with the "gpresult" command on the client as well.

Which kind of EAP do you run? If it uses client certificates you also have to check if the not connecting clients have a valid certificate to present to the radius server.
