Hi everyone,
Now I have 2 WLC (model cisco 2504, software 8.0.132.0), I would like to configure HA (active/standby) on them and just 1 SSID (management and SSID with same vlan 192.168.1.x) .
do I need to configure SSID on both of WLC ?
Futhermore, I want to set static IP for client, but I not sure about what gateway for client. My configuration on WLC as below:
WLC1: management : 192.168.1.253/24 - Gateway: 192.168.1.1
WLC2: management : 192.168.1.254/24 - Gateway: 192.168.1.1
AP: IP 192.168.1.250/24
SSID: (interface/interface Group: management)
Client: 192.168.1.10/24 - Gateway: ??
Can you guys help me with the above ? If there are mistaken in my configuration, please correct me !!

do I need to configure SSID on both of WLC ?
Correct. The WLAN settings enabled on the first controller must be mirrored into the second controller. The APs will also be configured to identify the primary and secondary controller. Alternatively, the DHCP Option 43 needs to be updated for the 2nd controller.

Here is the guide to configure HA on 2504 WLC.

*** We must configure and manage both WLC separately.
