High Availbility/Redundancy Guide

Hi 

I am looking for a deployment guide on HA/Redundancy between WLC 5508 and virtual WLC running 7.6.130.0 version.

If you means SSO (Stateful Switch Over), then it won't work because the 5508 and the vWLC are different "generations".  You can only do HA SSO if you have an identical equipment, like two 5508 or two vWLC.

You can setup N+1, but not AP SSO. The thing you need to understand is the limitations. vWLC only supports FlexConnect and the 5508 supports both local mode and FlexConnect.  So if you have local mode access points on the 5508, you should not use a vWLC as the backup.

so technically we can't reach HA or Redundancy if one have 5508 with vWLC although running same code ?? Really , I mean not even any other way ?

You don't want sso anyway it comes with lots of  problems .. Do n+1 and save yourself the hassle ..
