High Latency and Fluctuations - Cisco Wlan Controller and Lightweight Access Points

Hello,

I just wanted to ask whether you have any experiences concerning the latency from a wireless connected client.
The Wlan is implemented with a Cisco WLC (virtual) and round about 10 lightweight access points (Cisco 1602).
The access points are configured as "FlexxConnect" and there are several SSID's broadcasted on each access point.

The clients (connected via the access points) have a latency fluctuating between 5ms and 800ms (most of the time under 100ms) while pinging an internal server.
I am wondering if this is a normal behaviour because I tested the same szenario with an autonomous access point and here the latency was nearly like via a cable (maximum of 5ms).

I have already tried several small parameter settings, e.g. "Client User Idle Timeout", "Session Timeout", "DTIM Period" and so on, but there were no bigger differences.

Maybe you can help or tell me your experiences.

Thanks in advance
