How can I get an AP out of OfficeExtend mode?

I was setting a group of access points to a certain block of settings and I used a template to apply it.  I have one access point that keeps giving me an error about the AP mode.

I set this AP back to factory defaults, rebooted it, and it still joins the controller - but will not take the template.

Anyone know how to make it behave?

Console into the AP and enter the command:  clear capwap private

I took that AP and assigned it to another controller and rebooted it, then assigned it back, rebooting it, and when it returned I applied the template and it worked!

I was just finishing up my little test when I saw your suggestion - which I never got to try out.  Since the console is 16 feet in the air, should I assume SSH/Telnet would have worked?

If you can get into it, yes.  Telnet/SSH should also work.

I curious as to why not just change the mode on the AP itself when it was joined to the WLC. That would of been the easiest way without having to depend on a template.
