How i can put 2.4 Ghz backup for 5 Ghz WlANs

hi everyone

i have WLC 2504 with 15 AP 1142 , firstly how i can control a broadcast of 2.4 or 5 ?

and my question here if i want to transmit 5ghz (because it better than 2.4 in rate)

but its cover small space than 2.4 so i want to put 5 ghz as primary signal and if the client go far away and go out of the 5 ghz range still in the network with 2.4ghz is that possible?

another question plz

is there any polices controlled the join to the signal ? when the client join with 5 GHZ and when he join with 2.4 ?

how i can controlled that ?

Look under the settings for the SSID and look at "Radio Policy" drop-down menu.

Not possible.
The wireless client makes the final decision what AP to join and what radio to join.

Ok but how i can controlled what signal its ON or OFF ?
1-how i can recognition 5 or 2.4 radio is broadcast now ?
2-is the tow signal broadcast together ?
3- when the client join with 5 GHZ and when he join with 2.4 ?
how i can controlled that ?

That will depend on the wireless client.  The most recent wireless NIC drivers from Intel dictate that 5.0 Ghz takes priority and, in most common circumstances, operate on 2.4 Ghz if 5.0 Ghz RSSI is bad.  But, when operating in 2.4 Ghz, if the SNR is low, for example, then switch back to 5.0 Ghz.

These are just examples.  We don't "write" the codes to the wireless NICs.

You look at the controller and pull up details of each wireless clients.

ok
so how i can broadcast just 5Ghz signal from controller ?
is that relation with 802.11 a/n/g/ac technology ?

To Leo’s point, what you are trying to achieve is not possible. You can’t control that from the WLC as the client makes the join decision. You either have both enabled or you disable one.
