Hi,

I have deployed a Cisco AIR-LAP1262N-E-K9 in a big auditorium space and I am not getting good/enough coverage. What antenna/s do you recommend me to get more coverage.

Any help is much appreciated.

Jacinto,

Sometime have "to much" coverage is a bad thing. WiFi us a half-duplex medium. So if you inrcease the cell size this will mean more users will share the medium.

Also are you trying to shape the 2.GHz or 5 GHz side, or both ?

Hi George,

Thanks for your answer!

I am trying to get the best balance between coverage and performance I am trying to shape 2.4 GHz.

What do you reckon would be the best Antennas for this frecuency?

When I deisgn large open areas Ive had success with "shaping the signal" like a flash light. Where by getting a more defined area of coverage. Ive used AIR-ANT2460NP-R= in the past and it does very good.

Attach is a list og Cisco antennas

You could purchase a few different types and test them for your liking ..

I would not advise not getting anything higher than 6 dBi ...

I hope this helps ...

How high are the antennas installed?

You mentioned 2.4Ghz, what about the 5.0Ghz.?

Have you tried to "sniff" the air for anything else operating in the 2.4Ghz?
