None whatsoever.  Only regular WLC memory leaks which forces me to reboot our controllers (6 x 9800-80, 2 x 9800-40) every 4 months.

I have already checked this case, I have only one 9800cl in my environment.

You tend to see these when devices roam from one ap to another especially when you have ap's in FlexConnect mode local switching.  You can test that yourself when walking around trying to roam and running a debug on your client so you can see where the client is roaming and looking at the logs on your switch. Shouldn't be an issue also.

That is right, the logs will appear when the client is roaming from one AP to another. We are currently implementing the local mode, which means central switching.

I have seen this error/spam message appear since 17.3.X.  Currently on 17.12.4 and the spamming is still present.

I have created a logging discriminator and it helps reduce the amount of this message appearing in our syslog server/catcher.

do you use local mode also 9800cl ?

Yes.  All my APs are local mode.

Do you have performance issues?

Would you please share the configuration code of this discriminator with us ?

I also confirm it is still active issue specially with 9800-CL.

All our APs are in local mode with 17.12.x (which is version where this issue should be fixed) and this message is still appearing a lot, since there is a lot of roamings of clients between APs.

logging discriminator DNAC_FO facility drops SMART_LIC msg-body drops WlClient|hmac-sha|EPM|dnac
logging buffered discriminator DNAC_FO 40960
logging console discriminator DNAC_FO
logging monitor discriminator DNAC_FO

This logging discriminator is called "<BLAH> fence out" and it should minimize the amount of spam with message body that contains the target words as well as logging facility that contains the line "SMART_LIC".

Hope this helps.
