Install and configure AIR-SAP1602E-A-K9

Hello,

Can someone please help me in guiding out as to how do we install the SAP1602E without using the controllers as all the install guides are talking about controller based installations but my whole purpose of going with SAP unit was to do standalone installs and then bridge 2 AP that I bought.

so AIR-SAP1602E-E-K9 can be configured as a Access Point and also a Root Bridge,
Pleae kindly confirm the same

Hi Ravindra,

Yes it can be done.

But normally you configure AP as root bridge,when you configure a wireless bridge where a "Non-Root Bridge" connect to Root Bridge & pass multiple vlan traffic across the bridge.

If you want to configure this as Root AP (station role root), then you can associate normal wireless clients & NOT a Non-Root Bridge.

What do you want to do exactly ?
