Is Protected EAP (PEAP) supported by Cisco Aironet?

Hi,

I have a customer who has a notebook that does not support LEAP. It supports a protocol called Protected EAP (PEAP).

It's Authentication Method uses "Secured Password - EAP-MSCHAPv2" and I don't know whether it is supported in Cisco Aironet.

The thing is I am using Cisco ACS Server as the authentication database. I tried many methods to configure this notebook, but it still cannot authenticate with the Radius Server.

Any help on this is greatly appreciated.

Rgds

Simon

Make sure Peap is enabled on the ACS, along with the certificates. AND enable 802.1x capability on the client (win2000 you need SP3 and above).

Simon,

EAP-MSCHAPv2 is definitely PEAP (Microsoft version) and it is supported by ACS.
