Hi,
I have 2 Cisco WAP371 devices.
1. WAP371-E-K9 V03
2. WAP371-E-K9 V02
Doesnt matter if I setup the first or the second one first and join the other. When I join the 2nd device its not displayed as a device in the master. When checking the SPS both devices are marked Yes with Cluster-Controller
Firmware has been upgrade on both to 1.3.0.7

my guess is the AP's each joined it's own cluster (with just a single AP)
The cluster name is not sent to other WAPs so you must configure the same name on each device that is a member.
check the cluster-name match exactly! (try a name with all lowercase)
you can check the web-interface to show how many AP's are connected in a cluster

thanks for the reply.
They are both mentioned with only 1 AP.
I changed the Cluster name to, still joining isnt done. This is the reponse message i receive after joining
![]() | ||||
![]() | ||||
Cluster Name: | a | |||
Network Name (SSID): | ciscosb (5 GHz Radio)
Network Security Type: | plain-text
Security Key: |
but its still not joined to the cluster. Is there a port or something that needs to be open? an ip where the cluster-controller is located?
thanks
