Hey guys, On the cisco IW9167E access points, what mac address should be used when specifying the preferred parent on the nodes in a mesh setup? Do these 9167’s follow the standard wave 2 pattern of base radio mac with 0x11 added as the last two characters, or has this changed?

-hope this helps-

   - Yes , it comes down to the first software version supporting these APs which is 17.9.x
From there we have : https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/wireless/controller/9800/17-9/config-guide/b_wl_17_9_cg/m_mesh_ewlc.html?bookSearch=true

     >For Cisco Wave 2 APs, when you configure a preferred parent, the MAC address is the base radio MAC address that has "0x11" added to the last two characters. For example, if the base radio MAC address is 00:24:13:0f:92:00, then you must specify 00:24:13:0f:92:11 as the preferred parent.

Device# ap name ap1 mesh parent preferred 00:24:13:0f:92:11
