LAP1131 b/g radio not seen in WLC

Hi,

The network consists of 133 RAPs/MAPs/1131 APs and all joined the WLC.  When I check the 802.11 a/n radio tab, I see only 129 APs and the 802.11 b/g/n tab I see 133 APs.  I found out that 4 LAP1131 is not showing in the 802.11 a/n tab.  I tried resetting the AP thru the WLC and still the don't see it in the 802.11 a/n tab.  I need help how to troubleshoot this problem.

Radio could of gone bad. You can always console into the AP and then power cycle the AP. look at the output and see if you see an error for that radio or you don't see it as one of the radios when it is booting up.

Hi Scott,

I'll try your suggestion tomorrow.  If there is an error or i don't see that radio, it means I have a faulty AP?  Since it is a LAP, I won't be able to enable that radio, am I right?

Try rebooting the AP.  I see this all the time.

Hello,

As per your query i can suggest you that-

Please rebbot your AP and try once.If still it doesn't work then i can find that the radio must be faulty.

Make a note that

Data Rates Supported in CISCO LAP 1130 is-

• 802.11a: 6, 9, 12, 18, 24, 36, 48, and 54 Mbps

• 802.11g: 1, 2, 5.5, 6, 9, 11, 12, 18, 24, 36, 48, and 54 Mbps

Yeah... Looks like the radio has gone bad and isn't detected. Need to RMA (if you have support) or replace it.
