Lightning arrestors

I am looking for a good lightning arrestor..(not exactly the one that Cisco makes and calls it lightning arrestor). This will be for a steel plant, and the area does get hit by lightning quiet often. What are some of the good lightning arrestors (third party) that can be used with 350 or 1300 series bridges ?

Thanks

Probably the best all-around folks for lightning protection and "environmental event control" is PolyPhaser ( http://www.polyphaser.com ).

These are the guys that design stuff for radio towers and municipal / commercial repeater systems that allow them to take direct hits and keep on transmitting.

They (used to?) have consultants available to assist with the design of discharge and drainage systems.

They also have an excellent book on the subject available.

I've used their stuff for years and have always found it to be top-notch

My Ham Radio station has been whacked by lightning now three times: After the first time - and PolyPhaser - I haven't lost any equipment.

Check 'em out.

A local reseller is Amateur equipment Supply (AES), they have B&M locations in Milwaukee WI, LasVegas, Columbus OH ... maybe some others ( http://www.AESHAM.com ).

Good Luck

Scott
