Lightweight Access Point 1700 Factory Reset

Hi

I was trying to configure the VLAN settings in a 1700 AP on the WLC but when I enabled the option VLAN Tagging on the tab Advanced I lost the connection between the AP and WLC.

When I console the device, I was able to see the message below.

*Mar  1 00:03:27.039: %CAPWAP-3-DHCP_RENEW: Could not discover WLC. Either IP address is not assigned or assigned IP is wrong. Renewing DHCP IP.
Writing out the event log to flash:/event.log ...

*Mar  1 00:03:37.083: %SYS-5-RELOAD: Reload requested by CAPWAP CLIENT. Reload Reason: Could not discover WLC using configured vlan tag 1, Reload to failover to untagged.

*Mar  1 00:03:37.083: %LWAPP-5-CHANGED: CAPWAP changed state to DOWN
Write of event.log done

Then I changed with the command "lwapp ap ethernet tag 0", "capwap ap ethernet tag 0" and reload the device but the AP still doesn't connect with the WLC.

Now the only message displayed when I console the device is:

Not in Bound state.
*Mar  1 00:01:47.059: %CAPWAP-3-DHCP_RENEW: Could not discover WLC. Either IP address is not assigned or assigned IP is wrong. Renewing DHCP IP.

And when I try "ping X.X.X.X" or "ping ip X.X.X.X"

% Unrecognized host or address, or protocol not running.

Is it possible to erase all configs on this AP to start from the scratch?

Thanks

Try this & see.

LAP#debug capwap console cli
LAP#erase /all nvram:
Erasing the nvram filesystem will remove all files! Continue? [confirm]
[OK]
Erase of nvram: complete
LAP-02#reload
Proceed with reload? [confirm]
