Lightweight APs Loose their config

Folks,

           Once in a while i have noticed that the APs loose their config and register with the controller with theia mac address instead of their name and loose the AP group and flex connect information.

Ay ideas why it is happening to some APs.

Hi

 Sounds like a faulty AP. Inform please the AP model , WLC model e version just to make sure there isn´t an bug on it.

Yes, this is a known bug and very common with early releases of 8.0, 8.2 and 8.3. This bug wasn't fixed until later versions of the train. Majority of the time this bug affects only 2700/3700.
What firmware is the controller running on?

Controller is a 5520 running 6.2.(116) code. The AP is a 3800.

Try upgrading the firmware of the controller. 

By the way, "6.2.(116)" is not a valid firmware.
