Set a Lightweight IOS on Cisco AP, then type copy run-config startup-config
Controller-based IOS will NOT save configurations. All configuration is done on the WLC. So when you set an IP address and you reboot the AP, the AP will discard the settings and go back to default configuration (no IP address).
Exactly what are you trying to do?
