lisence smart and RTU on cisco controller 5520

Hello all,

 

I am beginner in the wireless world , and i want your help .

I have a cisco controller 5520 appliance , and i have two type of lisences  smart licensing and RTU

 

Question  1:

the RTU license that is mean 5520 AP Adder Licenses ?

Question 2:

Can i use both lisence ( RTU + smart licence ) together in the same controller without any problem ?

Its not same. Cisco is going a new way to license the access points on WLCs. You now buy Cisco “Right to Use” (RTU) Licenses and just configure the AP license count at “Management / Software Activation / Licenses”.

2. Can i use both lisence ( RTU + smart licence ) together in the same controller without any problem ?

 

Best case would be to migrate from RTU to Smart licensing.
