Local Web Auth on the AP

Is it possible to host a local web auth page on an AP?

Can the embedded WLC function be used for this?

This will be for 9176I APs. The client would like a local login page for guests but any authentication server will be physically located too far away to complete authentication in a timely manner.

Many thanks in advance

  - @ashmead123   At least you can't do it on the AP ; check official documentation :

Is it recommended to run the EWC on a switch (rather than an AP)? The 9176 datasheet indicates that this must be in SDA mode.

  - @ashmead123  EWC can not run on switches neither on your ap model. In fact cisco is phasing out EWC and it is EOL. Consider going for the virtual 9800 for instance ,

Ok thanks Mark. I didn't mention but these will be pop up temporary deployments of a few APs, so they could potentially take a high spec laptop to run the hypervisor. This could work, thanks!

High spec laptop not help' you need server.

You have few AP but what is important how much wifi client connect to.
