Loss of WIFI speed

Looking for some ideas - I have a brand new network that I am installing.  I have 5 Cisco WAP561 access points, a Cisco 8port POE gigabit switch and a Linksyst EA6900 router.  I was able to go thru the setup and created a Group with the AP's and disconnected reconnected - works fine.

I did a speed test on my desktop (which is wired) and went great something like 40meg+ down and 30meg up.  all good there.

the problem is that when I go to the wireless AP's I am getting like 3 or 4 meg up and down.  it is putting the network at a crawl. We have a strong signal connection just the up and down speeds are terrible

This is all brand new stuff, with the highest speeds available from our ISP.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions on how to solve

Sam

A number of things (and this is a partial list...)

1.  Have you set the "adjust mtu" per recommendations?  Might have a lot of fragmentation.

2.  What bands are you using (A/B/G)?

3.  Do you have a lot of interference from other APs nearby, particularly if they're on the same channels ?
