what is the difference? in the ios i have now the association access list where i can great a mac list with i dont want to assosiate. but i still can make mac authentication with a mac list with allows to assosiate. so whats the difference?

MAC address filters allow or disallow the forwarding of unicast and multicast packets either sent from or addressed to specific MAC addresses whereas you can use MAC address ACLs to block or allow association to the access point.

thx for your reply. but as i understand mac filter firght (in vxworks) i made a list of macs that are not allowed so they are not able to assosiate. so what is really the different?
