MAC Filtering

Hi Could you guys help me understand MAC filtering?

On a 802.1x secured SSID if I enable MAC filtering will this be on top of the 802.1x or will bypass it? I mean if I have a MAC saved in the list that means that this MAC will bypass the 802.1x or it means that ONLY this MAC will be allowed on the WLAN after it passes the 802.1x?

NOT bypass
the host must pass 802.1x then the WLC will add it MAC to MAC list (this MAC will use as Host ID).

But even if I provide the MAC in the MAC-Filter list in the WLC, the host would still need to pass 802.1x right?

Correct.

It needed.
