Manage AP1852 through API?

SME jack-of-all-trades tech here.

We've just acquired an AP1852-K9(C) (Mobility Express image, web gui) via TechSoup.

I'd like to change WPA passphrases/PSKs programmatically. WPA Enterprise is not an option because reasons.

What I think I know so far:

Mobility Express does not do this natively.
A separate WLC can do this, perhaps via CMX(?)
Cisco WLC controllers not available via TechSoup (though extra licenses are), & overkill for small deployment.
I could re-image as CAPWAP, if I can find a suitable SW controller.
This is possible with Cisco Prime.
Again, not available via TechSoup that I can see.
Has anyone else investigated this use case?

You may be able to do it using an SNMP Server other than Prime. It won't be APIs but you could schedule the changes, etc. I guess that would work for you.
