measure distance by Cisco Power Level

Hi all.

In Cisco Wireless Controller, I saw AP with power level = 1. How I know distance one user mobile connect to this AP with good signal -65 dbm.

It's the same for power level 2,3,4.

Not remotely accurate because of attenuation, wireless client Tx power, etc.

As Leo mentioned it’s hard to say because of attenuation factors and client TX power.

 

you should do a survey to find out at what distance you see signal strength at -65dBm, if you don’t have survey tool, then you can just use wifi analyzer app (only on Google store). It’s good enough to answer your question.
