Meraki Cameras

Hi All,

I've been reading about Meraki camera and their features; I see that it's good product full of great features. However, I have two hot questions that I can't find out an answer for, and they are:

• Can a Meraki camera send a notification to the admin's mobile phone once a motion is detected?
• As Cisco mentioned that the Meraki camera stores data locally for a specific retention time, but what if a data is needed to be saved for more than the suggested retention time? OR is there an additional storage could be purchased from Cisco cloud?

You can have it generate a email alert along with a picture showing the motion.

Rather than configuring a specific retention time, most customers configure motion-based retention.  For the first 3 days, 100% of everything is kept.  After that, only motion video with motion is kept.  You can get a reasonable amount stored on camera using this method.

If you want storage off camera, you can also buy cloud archive - but it is pretty expensive, and I have never had a customer do this.
