Mesh configuration.

I have access point CW9162I and I want to configure them in mesh.

I have checked the documentation but it is not clear to me what the step by step is.

So my theory is the following:

1.-I connect an AP "AP1" with internet access.

2.-I connect a second AP "AP2" without an Internet connection.

3.-The "AP2" does not have an Internet connection so it will find the "AP1" and this "AP1" will now be the gateway and the "AP2" will be the repeater.

Is this correct???

Now, once the above has happened, my "AP2" will be a repeater so it will already be propagating my SSIDs??? or do I need to do some other configuration???

As long as the AP you want to be meshed can see another working AP it will come online. Your theory is correct. You do not need to configure anything else.

This is correct. An AP will work in mesh mode, if it has no IP address on it's LAN interface. So one AP has to work as "regular" AP, it will be the gateway. The other AP, just powered up, will recognize that it has no IP address. Then it will connect wireless to a gateway AP. This needs no further configurations, this behavior is programmed in firmware.

There is a setting in Network-wide, there you can activate or deactivate meshing. Of course, it must be activated. This is default. The APs will send a hidden SSID for meshing.
