Mesh trunk issue

Hi,

I have configured a mesh network with one RAP (LAP1242) and one MAP (LAP1142) on my WLC 5500, both have "Ethernet Bridging" enabled.

The GigaEthernet0 of the MAP is in "Trunk mode" with native VLAN ID 2 and allowed VLAN ID 6.

The FastEthernet0 of the RAP is also in "Trunk mode" with same VLAN IDs.

The switch port of the RAP is in trunk mode.

When I connect a PC on the GigaEthernet0 of the MAP it takes an IP from DHCP pool of VLAN 2, but It should take IP from DHCP pool of VLAN 6.

I think I did something wrong on the WLC/Mesh configuration.

Any idea ?

Regards,

El bachir.

Why do you say that the pc should get an ip in vlan 6 ? What makes you say that ? is it directly connected ? through a switch ?

Hi,

May be my explanation is confused.

VLAN 2 is the management one.

The PC has an IP from VLAN 6 but it can't access anything on the network even its gateway.

Regards.

Hi,

Does anyone have any HowTo or Template configuration to make trunk work on a Mesh network ?

Thanks in advance.
