Migrate HA WLC to full WLC

Hi Community.

We want to convert our HA WLC to a full WLC. Infact that the HA WLC hasn't any stored full AP licenses, i have to buy new licenses.

But some SE told me that cisco is giving some licenses for free if you convert from a HA WLC to a WLC, because of the higher Price of a HA WLC compared to a WLC.

Is that right? Is it right that the HA WLC has 0 full AP licenses? And that i get for example 25 AP license for free?

Hi Patrick,

0 licenses on the converted controller are correct, there is no automatic granted licenses for the converted controller. Of course you can discuss this with your Cisco Account Manager.
