Guys
I am configuring WCS version 7.0.164.3 with a base license of 100 AP. Also, I have a mobility Service Engine MSE which I need to import to WCS.
I am not able to find the mobility tab to enter the management ip address of the MSE and synchronize the information with WCS
WHY?
is it a WCS version problem? or is it a base license problem?
Any Idea?
Many Thanks,
Elie Sbat

Hi Elie,
To add an MSE in WCS we should usually browse under
Services > Mobility Services
and then select "Add Mobility Services Engine" from the drop-down menu.
If you have a WCS BASE license (not PLUS), adding the MSE might fail.
Hope this helps,
Fede

The services I cannot find it in the WCS software version I am using. It could be because I am using a base license?
Thanks,
Elie

Hi Elie,
Even with the BASE license, you should still be able to see the menu.
Attached you can find a quick test from my lab, with a completely unlicensed WCS 7.0.164.3.
Did you test with different browsers for example?

On initial install ( unlicensed ) you will see Services > Mobility Services.
If you then install a Base license Services > Mobility Services will not be visible. If you then install a Plus upgrade license for the base license Services > Mobility Services will reappear. All of these changes occur without a restart of WCS as licenses are added.
What you are seeing is due to the Base license being installed.

When I started working on the WCS software it was license with a Base license, and I cannot see the Mobility Service Tab in the software.
I just want to know if it is a license issue from this the Tab disappeared or do I need to install another version of the software?
Thanks,
Elie
