We have several wireless medical monitors that we use on our network. The devices require multicast and broadcast to be enabled to communicate with the device control station as well as communicate with each other. We recently upgraded to the 8510 Wireless Controller. I have configured multicast and enabled global broadcasting. However, the devices are not communicating with each other. They are visible to control station. On my older WLC, I was able to verify wireless broadcast was enabled with the sho wireless multi command. That command is no longer valid on the 8510. Any assistance in verifying that wireless broadcasting in enabled would be appreciated.

Hi
Enabling broadcast on your WLC will be significantly impacting your wireless performance. I would not do this in a large network (as this will allow all broadcast traffic come to controller will send to clients over the air, wasting valuable air time)
You can check it using below CLI command.

Looks like multicast and broadcast are enabled. Still no traffic from device to device or from the control station. Will keep searching...
