Need help with conversion of autonomous Cisco AP to lightweight

Hi, I will need some help from you guys.

I converted Cisco Air-sap2602e-e-k9 from autonomous to lightweight. Then i set up ip address, default gateway, subnet mask and primari controller ip address.

After this, other people connected it to the network, but the AP went back to autonomous.

My question is how this is possible and what could be wrong.

We did about 100 APs configured same way, but only this one creates us problems. I also configured second one as I thought the first one might be configured wrong. The second AP also went back to autonomous.

Could it be all this due wrong WLC settings?

This is what command I used to convert it.

archive download-sw /overwrite /reload tftp://<server ip address>/ap3g2-rcvk9w8-tar.154-4.JB6.tar

P.S. I have some networking knowledge, but I am not professional.

Thank you in advance

Can you verify the AP is back running autonomous IOS?

When using the "archive" command with the RCV image, this will enable the AP to join the controller.  The controller then DELETES the autonomous IOS and then loads the CAPWAP image.

The only way for an autonomous IOS to survive is when there are two or more autonomous IOS image file(s) remaining in the AP.
