Can someone point me to where I can find the 5501.img for the air-mp21g-a-k9 radio?
I upgraded an air-ap1120b with the air-mp21g-a-k9 kit. I also loaded a recent IOS image. After the upgrades I keep seeing errors that the radio firmware can not be found.
Here is the error:
no radio firmware file (flash:/c1100-k9w7-mx.123-2.JA5/5501.img) was found
Looking in the tar files, only 5001.img and 5101.img files are found - no 5501.img.
I have also tried the following with the same failure: c1100-k9w7-tar.123-4.JA1.tar and c1100-k9w7-tar.123-7.JA.tar
The error message indicates that I have the wrong image and I should load the correct one, but these three are the only images listed in the software download page.

When you installed the firmware, did you use the archive command, or just tftp the image over and un-tar it manually?
If you execute the archive command to a firmware image located at tftp://xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.tar, it will automatically extract the components and put them in the right place.

Scott,
I don't think the problem is that the archive is not unpacked properly, but that the IOS is looking for firmware that does not exist in the archive.
I used the browser tftp option so everything was unpacked properly. I can see the 5001.img and the 5101.img files in the flash, but the software is looking for a 5101.img which is not there. The 5101.img file is not anywhere in the archive and not in the c1100-k9w7-tar.123-4.JA1.tar and c1100-k9w7-tar.123-7.JA.tar archives either.
The config is set at the factory defaults. Why is the software looking for the 5101.img? The ap is an 1120b which should be able to take the g upgrade card right?
Thanks, Sam
