I have a WLAN setup and am using LEAP for authentication between all devices. Everything seems to work good, but have always wondered this. I can only get the non root bridges to associate to the root bridge if I set them to Non-Root w/ Clients. Shouldn't I be able to set them to Non-Root w/o Clients and still get them to work? I have not been able to do so, any suggestions?
Thanks.

As per this document,
Non-Root Bridge w/o ClientsUse this setting for non-root bridges that should not accept associations from client devices. A non-root bridge (without clients) can connect to a wired LAN and only associates to another bridge (root or non-root).

I have this non-root bridge connected to a wired LAN and it does not need to accept any connections from a wireless client, but I still cannot get it to associate with it set to "Non-Root w/o clients"
