Hello Experts,

Please help here.

I am totally new to the access points. we are small company and we purchased 2 cisco CBW 240AC-D access points and trying to make one of them as primary and another as secondary. but we are not able to see the second point in the first AP console both the behaving as primary.

Both the APs are in same network/subnet. Please guide me to configure so that we can have one SSID and to have seamless connectivity when users roam around the office.

Thanks in advance.

Vikas.

Hi

The only reason for that I can think of would be they are not recheable. Can you ping both?  If they are on the same network but they have some issue on the configuration, they might not see each other.

According to the Cisco doc, you should setup one AP first and when this one is ready, you see the SSIDs etc, then you plug the second. The second AP must see another AP on the network in order to join.

I did the method mentioned in the cisco doc. However, I will try once again and update you.
Thank you again. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~.

Hi  Flavio

Thank you for the help.

both the APs were connected to 2 different switches ( 1 is to cisco and another is to extreme), so they were not talking to each other. Now I connected both the APs to cisco switch. Connectivity established and able to see subordinate AP in primary AP console.

Thanks again.

Great. Glad you sorted out
