On an 9105AX, can I bridge a user to the local switch?

Hi,

We have some brand new 9105AX APs running on our 9800-80 WLC (17.3.1).

Is it possible to connect to one of the hospitality ports on this AP, and have the traffic put onto the local switch instead of being tunnelled back to the controller?

The AP management is in one VLAN, and the hospitality port should be in another. There are cases where I might attach a VoIP phone to the hospitality port, and then a workstation through the phone. In that case, the AP VLAN, VoIP VLAN, and local user VLAN would be in play.

How/where would I configure that?

Thanks!

Yes, you should be able to configure those LAN ports for local switching ( I haven't tested it though)

Here is the configuration guide

If you’re talking about the 9100AXW then you can use the pass-thru port and connect that port to the switch so no involvement from the AP or the eWLC in that case, in fact, even if the AP goes down (power down) that port will still active because it’s just a connection.
