Open Wifi access

My company maintains a Guest portal with self-registration. Is it possible to remove the self-registration requirement from the portal and allow users that access the Guest network essentially open Internet access?

Or, is there an advantage to simply creating a new WLAN on our 9800 controller?

 - The best thing to do is to create a separate new WLAN/SSID  naming the guest access with open (no) authentication,

You have a few options:

if you still need the portal for legal reasons, you could change it to a accept T&C style page where they just get page and have to click accept.

If you want to get rid of the portal all together then you could go to just an open SSID with no layer 3 auth, or better solution would be to do OpenRoaming.
