Optimized Roam

Hello fellows,

I´ve trying to take advantage of the feature Optimized roaming in a outdoor environment using a WLC 8.0.  My clients is receiving the following messages:

Optimized Roaming : Client RSSI(-91) is lower than the association RSSI threshold(-74)

Trying to figure it out where does -74 comes from. considering "Data Rates" is disabled, WLC should look at "Data RSSI" on CHD, which, in my case, is -89 dBm.

 Anyone?

May be WLC still use default Data RSSI value of -80dBm (-74 is 6dB better than the threshold)

Yeah...I´ll confirm this by tomorrow, but, that´s was my suspicious as well. Interesting that I was expecting the WLC to look at RF profile, considering it is there. If you´re right, this means that, Coverage under 802.11a/b is where it looks to take decision.

 Thanks in advanced.
