Performing a Wireless Site Survey // How many access points ?

Hello,

I have to perform a wireless site survey of a new building with 5 floors, ~1000 square meters each. According to you how many APs I have to use during the survey. Do I have to bring there the total number of APs from the predictive site survey for each floor and turn them all there? Is there any point ?

1 AP is enough.  Make sure the AP is the same model that will be used at the site.  It also helps if the wireless site survey is done on the 5.0 Ghz.  Power down the transmission to about 60% and make sure you have 20% signal overlap.

How should I measure the cell overlap?
Write down the values of the first AP and move it to the next location while I'm trying to hit the right signal strength?
