Sorry guys, I know I'm always asking questions on here.
Im restructuring my wireless environment. I have 1852 AP's mixed in with 3502i AP's. I was told my a TAC engineer that monitor mode helps the WLC make better decisions regarding the rf environment. So is it worth it to purchase a few spare AP's and sprinkle them in while specifically being on monitor mode?

Hi
Really good idea. It is recommended to have around 1 monitor to every 5 AP on the environment. The beauty of monitor AP is that they monitor all the channels equally. You can use for example, local AP with monitor mode as submode, however, they will stay most of its time on one channel only.
You can also install Spectrum Expert on your machine and use the AP to verify spectrum healthy.

In monitor mode is way better. Local mode is a 'quick fix'.
