Pocket PC's with WPA

When attempting to use WPA with Pocket PC’s from DELL & HP I am unable to associate. (1200 Series AP’s with 12.3(4) JA IOS) One very odd thing is that older Pocket PC’s from Dell & HP work without any issues. Has anyone been successful using WPA with Pocket PC’S?

This may be because WPA is not supported on the PDA. In some PDA only static WEP is supported. Check with the vendor if the WPA is supported with the Pocket PCs. In older versions of the Pocket PCs this may have been supported and later taken off. If you feel that there is some configuration issue with WPA, you may find this link useful..

We have had this same problem with PDA's in are wireless environment. If you downgrade you wireless AP IOS to 12.2(15)JA is what we found to work for us. We have five different models of HP's and some converged devices and they all work fine now. We are still working with TAC on a resolution. We want to go to 12.3(4)JA also.

If you haven't found another solution already, try disabling the WiFi Multimedia setting under QoS->Advanced (or "no dot11 qos mode wmm" from the dot11radioX interface).

This should only be needed for IOS 12.3.x.x and greater.
