Hi all,
It is possible to send alarms from WCS to an external events manager (for example, NetCool IMB Tivoli or HPNNMi) configuring "Receiver Notifications" adding ports and external events manager IP. But is it possible events manager could ask using snmp yo WCS directly?
If you check MIB WCS CISCO-WIRELESS-NOTIFICATION, it defines:
cwNotificationHistoryTableMaxLength OBJECT-TYPE
SYNTAX Unsigned32 (1..4294967295)
MAX-ACCESS read-write
cWNotificationUpdatedTimestamp OBJECT-TYPE
SYNTAX DateAndTime
MAX-ACCESS read-only
cWNotificationKey OBJECT-TYPE
SYNTAX SnmpAdminString (SIZE (1..255))
MAX-ACCESS read-only
So, it seems it's possible. In this case, is neccesary to configure WCS in any way?
If WCS uses a Windows server, it's also neccesary to unable snmp agent server. Should I have to be care of any matter?
